Geomechanics
TPLM-3D's geomechanics activities developed in partnership with the company Gipea.
We mainly operate in quarries, mines, and rocky fronts to carry out laser scanner surveys and then deal with point clouds.
The 3D meshes that we produce are optimized according to the rock layouts (the density adapts to the land's geometry) in order to get the best compromise between accuracy and the size of the generated file. A quality procedure allows to verify the fitting between the final mesh and the original point cloud (deviation control).
For projects:
- quantity survey (volumetric measurement calculations and profiles are automatic),
- structural and geomechanics studies,
- refitting of sites which are not exploited anymore.
Benefits of the method:
- Safe measurements,
- Take into account the overhangs and cavities,
- Compatible meshes (DTM) with all CAO/DAO software on the market,
- Highly reduced schedules for measurements,
- Adapted accuracy and tolerance to the different types of works.
